If you know (or suspect) that you have a My NCBI account already, follow these steps:
Make sure that you do not already have a My NCBI account, then:
Make sure that you do not already have a My NCBI account and your PI manages his or her own My NCBI account, then
Problem: You can't login to your My NCBI account - it is locked on someone else's.
Cause: Multiple My NCBI account holders login to My NCBI on a shared computer and you can't kill the session.
Solution: Once logged into the My NCBI system via the eRA login, the computer is logged in to My NCBI, eRA Commons and via a NIH Federated login - to clear this, open this link in your browser. This should open to a blank page which means the logins are cleared. Please note, this is a temporary solution - once a permanent fix is in place, we will update this page.
