SEPGuides: Science Education Partnership: Teacher Fellowships

Partners in Science grants provide research opportunities to high school science teachers to work with investigators in academic labs or in other non-profit labs. The grant covers two summers of research. The $15,000 award includes summer stipend, discretionary funds, and travel funds.

Where STEM educators are immersed in the world of science at Department of Energy National Laboratories.

The Department of Energy Academies Creating Teacher Scientists (DOE ACTS) program fully engages educators as valued members of the scientific community and helps them progress as leaders of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.

Frontiers in Physiology Professional Development Fellowships for science teachers of grades 6-12. Teachers are teamed with an APS scientist in their local region. They engage in hands on research for the summer and also focus transfer to the classroom. The fellowship concludes with a trip to the annual Experimental Biology meeting. Awardees receive a stipend of up to $9300 over the year including travel and materials mini-grant.

The SSP Fellows Program provides funds and training to selected U.S. high school science and math teachers of under-resourced students. The Fellowship supports high-quality, independent scientific research by the most interested and motivated students.

The Science Training Programs Directory for Teachers and Students (STP) has more than 300 programs listed and is the only comprehensive catalog of science, mathematics, and engineering enrichment programs for pre-college students and teachers.
